Steering Commitee members

The UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) co-founded the SHRIM with DCAF. The FCO has contributed to the SHRIM since 2016 and is a member of the Steering Committee Switzerland’s Federal Department of Foreign Affairs has contributed to the SHRIM since 2018 and is a member of the Steering Committee.

DCAF and the ICRC work together to support companies operating in complex environments manage their security in a way that is effective and respects human rights and international humanitarian law. The ICRC is an Observer to the SHRIM Steering Committee.

 

 

Implementing partners

The International Code of Conduct Association (ICoCA) is a non-profit multi-stakeholder organization that was established in 2013 to oversee Private Security Companies (PSCs). ICoCA’s mandate fo¬cuses on the activities of private security companies in complex environments. Fund for Peace (FFP) creates practical tools and approaches for conflict mitigation and peacebuilding that are contextually relevant. FFP is one of the founders of the Voluntary Principles Initiative and is currently serving as Chair of the NGO pillar.

Safestainable is an independent consultancy specialising in non-financial risk which uses a sustainable approach to security management.

 

 

     
 

Socios Peru is a non-profit Peruvian civil society organisation that seeks to promote a culture of dialogue and consensus-building for change and conflict management in Peru, supporting initiatives that contribute to the respect of human rights, social equity, justice, governance and citizen participation, within the framework of sustainable economic development. Socios Perú is a member of the Voluntary Principles Initiative and the International Code of Conduct Association (ICoCA).

The Private Security Governance Observatory is a network of African civil society organisations that seek to share knowledge and reinforce their capacities to promote good governance of the private security sector.
